ton.jpgIf you're a Blender artist and you would like to spend 3-6 months in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to work on the next Blender Open Movie or Open Game project, then this is your chance!

Ton has posted the job descriptions for 2 or 3 artists on Blender.org. In a nutshell, you have to be a multi-talented, stress-resistant, English speaking/writing team player with a cool Blender art portfolio. The Institute will pay for all your travels and housing and you will receive a modest compensation.

The deadline for submitting is June 26th, which I think is a bit short notice, but if you're motivated enough I'm sure you can pull it off :)

Please note that this call is for artists only; developers will be approached via the usual development channels.

Full details on Blender.org.

"We are not yet recruiting for the game project, only for the open movie.
It is also not "Recruiting for the Blender Institute", but only for the movie project."

Good to hear the 2. Movie project is going this fast :)

Just an idea concerning the "make Blender better along the way" … Maybe you should invite some people from the GIMP team (and probably from other applications as well) to tell them what problems & obstacles you encounter(ed). See [1] for a similar approach already in progress for The GIMP.

That's great they've begun the next project. I wish I had known about Blender sooner, then my knowledge and skills might have been up to tackle this by now. I'm still on the tutorial scavenger hunt trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

    Very very cool News! :-D

Only an info that i'd like to know (maybe not only me:-)): it's there any Screenwriter, VideoEditor and Creative Consultant position avaiable to work with the next project, or there is a place only for ultra-advanced 3DArtist?

    Thanks for any reply;-)
