TV Commercials with Blender in Brazil

32

Lucio Cavalcanti ReelPeople always ask me if it`s possible to produce high quality content for TV with Blender. Well, a Brazilian animation studio has produced some great TV Commercials with Blender! The studio is called ZQuatro and is located in Recife/Brazil.

Here are some of the TV Spots produced with Blender.

The artist responsible for the use of Blender on these productions is Lucio Cavalcanti. The post production of the commercials is made in After Effects and with the Blender Node system. You can check out Lucio`s Demo reel too, where he created a model of himself in Blender.

  1. I'm not surprised a bit that Blender can do that and better.
Great talent, excellent sense of rythm, color, light, everything!
    Thanks for letting us know.

  2. Very Very Very Good!

That is some great work guys. I am really liking what I see. It is so nice to see someone making a good living off of blender like you are!

    Keep up the great work!

  3. Great work... Is just me or does it seem that Latin America is showing us here how to best use blender? I don't know, but the stuff coming from there is truly A1 work! Loved the demo reel as well!

  4. I just looked at Lucio`s Demo reel.
Really inspiring stuff.Mostly the rigging section.I wish there where more videos like that around.
Makes doing it look like fun in Blender 3d:)

  5. Congratulations to Lucio Cavalacanti and the Studio!

I like a lot the first animation (the fashion stuff). Really simple but elegant and nice, very appropriate.

  6. I really like this work. It reminds me of the sorts of things that I try to do - though usually they're never finished or quite this polished. Bravo!

  7. I have to agree with everyone else - the work is awesome. I especially liked the rigging demo, but it was all excellent. The commercials were also well-done - it seemed like the color range and saturation were a bit different (as in better) than the stuff I see in the states.

  8. Hello, everyone!

I'd like to thank a lot all comments! I'm too happy with them and they are very stimulant to me continue making works better and contributing more with blender.

After so much dedication making all these works to show blender potentiality, many people I know that didn't believe it, are changing your opinions.

I've enjoyed too much comments about my demo reel, although it has more than one year and is a little outdated...I hope have time to update it one day.

I'd like to thank Allan Brito, who present me the first steps in blender when I was your student, and now has posted this article.

The merits of final quality of Zquatro works I've participated, are also for Hime Navarro and mainly Marcelo Vaz (responsible for pos-production), who are both creation directors and partners of ZQuatro, and, although don't use blender, give me valuable tips during creative process.

    Thanks again!

  11. Heyhey.. Wow!
But why is this studio not listened in the list for "Professionals" on blender.org? Will somebody ask them to submit/add their website to this list? (Just asking ^^ don't know how this is usually done..)
