I’m on Vacation!

240383824_1a03e1514c.jpgAfter working on BlenderNation every single day for the last year and a half, it’s time for me to take a break. My personal live is quite busy at the moment: I bought a new house that I’ll need to work on, my own company is doing very well and last but not least, I’m going to be a father in October! :) Sometimes it’s just too hard to also spend 1-2 hours a day on running BlenderNation so I decided I could use a ‘vacation’ from running this website.

Don’t worry though! We have a great team and they’ll be running the show from now on. As the entire process of receiving news leads and approving posts was far too dependent on me, we’ve made a few organizational changes. Every editor now has publishing rights, the contact form is sent directly to the editors mail list and the team has full control over what will be published.

Of course we can still need more help. Becoming a regular editor is still by invitation only, but the best way to get yourself noticed is to regularly submit news in a ready-to-use format.

When I have some energy left, I’ll continue writing posts for BN. Otherwise, you should see me back around the 15th of July!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.
