I'm on Vacation!

240383824_1a03e1514c.jpgAfter working on BlenderNation every single day for the last year and a half, it's time for me to take a break. My personal live is quite busy at the moment: I bought a new house that I'll need to work on, my own company is doing very well and last but not least, I'm going to be a father in October! :) Sometimes it's just too hard to also spend 1-2 hours a day on running BlenderNation so I decided I could use a 'vacation' from running this website.

Don't worry though! We have a great team and they'll be running the show from now on. As the entire process of receiving news leads and approving posts was far too dependent on me, we've made a few organizational changes. Every editor now has publishing rights, the contact form is sent directly to the editors mail list and the team has full control over what will be published.

Of course we can still need more help. Becoming a regular editor is still by invitation only, but the best way to get yourself noticed is to regularly submit news in a ready-to-use format.

When I have some energy left, I'll continue writing posts for BN. Otherwise, you should see me back around the 15th of July!

    Congratulations for your fatherhood, as it appears to look the most important to me and that nobody mentioned it yet in the comments ;)

    BTW (sorry, forgot to mention it) if you want more submited articles, it would be fine if the contact form (http://www.blendernation.com/contact/) showed a wider/higher message area… It would be easier for your wanabe-editors ;)

    @Everyone else: thanks for the nice comments :) By the way, I'm not really going away, just taking a break from the BlenderNation work! I'm hoping to come back full of energy and new ideas..

    Just remember that sleepless night, diapers, rashes and belly cramps (yours ans his/hers) are features not bugs. ;)

    1. once upon a time… there was no BN; now it seems like the sun that always rises up and shines; but it's not a right, it's a gift, a present of every day; like life, and the sun; if we stay without you for 2 or 3 monthes may be that in july we remember how beautiful this present is.
    2. if you don't relax for a while you become crazy, and BN may become too strange; so i hope you'll have all you need to enjoy yourself and to love all the good things of the real world; a house and a child are very good meshes to model in the best way; i'm waiting for images…

    Enjoy your vacation, b@rt. Also, enjoy the time you and your wife are pregnant. Do lots of fun stuff and remember to surprise her on a regular basis. Every special moment now will be worth double after you become Father.
