BlenderNation Fundraiser: Donation Done!!

Today I got confirmation of my bank that my creditcard limit has been raised so I could finally place the order for our Fundraiser on www.oxfamunwrapped.com!

To recap, on the first birthday of BlenderNation.com we asked all our readers to help us finance an entire classroom in a developing country. For this we needed $3350 and I was honestly asking myself if this goal wasn't set too high. Well, were we in for a big surprise: within *four* days we had already collected $3650 and it didn't stop there. After one week we had raised a total of $4120 meaning we had to add some more useful products. We settled on the following list:

  • 1 classroom
  • 4000 hot meals
  • 2 goats
  • 1 alpaca
  • 3 animal care kits

15 minutes ago I placed the order - here's the order confirmation in case you're interested. Within minutes I was in for a surprise: Oxfam sent me an e-card for EACH PRODUCT on my shopping list ;-) Here's a link to one of them.

So, this is the end of our first birthday party. Thank you all again - I've told this story to many people by now and they were all amazed by the generosity of this group. I'll start thinking about what to do next year :)
