I'm waiting for the UI redesign. Maybe for the users that use blender on the beginning, this is not a problem, but for new users (these that comes from other 3d packages, like me) trying to found on Blender a multiplatform, cheaper alternative, the UI is very very bad. Watch all others 3d packages and you see a coherence between them. Then, you see Blender, and it's not very friendly.
My two cents

Downloaded 2.43 RC1 and quickly ran into problems with the spin tool.

Silly question I know; who do I report it to?

I thought it should be 2.5 for the next ...
And that it will be renderman compliant ...

but transparent multi layer files is really an amazing feature ! great !
render baking and uv layers too !

I'll send max to the thrash, yeah !

Thanks a lot to all coders ...

I just wonder how to save anims with multi layers, passes and channels ?

I agree with Tynach, I don't miss a different UI! But of course, some rework is needed. I don't like that there are some functions which are only available in the drop down menus (I hate them).

Anyway, great work! Thanks to all the coders for their effort! I love the render passes. This is a very powerful tool. And it is sooo easy to create alpha masks with the new IndexOB!

Why does everyone want a new user interface? I love the current one, and if it goes away I will kill to get the other one back!

Just because you want Blender to be a "Normal Program," doesn't mean you need to actually bring Blender down to the "Normal," level.

Great work! I'm going to download and test it out right now!

Sorry about reporting it here, but I couldn't post it on the bug tracker...

I was testing the new RC1 release and I don't know if it is really a bug but when I try to use the "Multires" function my Blender Crashes.. I tried here in my Athlon XP 2400+ and after tried on a Pentium 4 3000HT and both crashed.

Here are the video I took to show what I did:
(a video worth thousand words =P )

http://www.4shared.com/dir/1678237/ad6a24db/Blender_Stuff.html

There is also a print screen of the message Blender reported in the try.

I hope it helped.. Any further info just ask me.

Thanks!
