I’m sure you all remember the radial menu concept Matt showed us in August. Matt continues his ingenuity in design by tackling some great ideas for Blender’s outliner. Things like visibility control and drag and drop grouping.
For those of you who are like me, that is, “technically challenged” to understand a new function in Blender, I really, really appreciate those of you who take the time to decipher a function and write a tutorial in a simple, clear and precise manner. Sometimes when I read what the Coders describe of how to use new function, it’s usually in a more technical explanation. I get frustrated because it just doesn’t sink in.

This is a classic technique to give your renders a wireframe overlay on top of your existing materials. It’s been in Blender for some time, though it seems to slip through the cracks every so often. But never fear, BlenderNewbies has a video tutorial on how to do it!

CGtalk, one of the most frequented pro-cg websites, is having yet another challenge. The challenge is titled Eon- Worlds Within Worlds a novel by author Greg Bear. We are going to take a look at the challenge and then point out a few of the blenderheads participating in the challenge.
