The new features in the CVS that we outlined in the October report might replace this stride bone method, but that doesn't make this tutorial obsolete as its a very informative mountain of information overall and will get you a bit more prepared for using the new features and is helpful in getting to know IPO manipulation as well as animating in general in Blender.
It's been a while, but after a brief hiatus (~2 months), Graphicall is back up and ready to dish out the latest release, cvs, optimized, and patched builds for Blender. It's a great place to share or test the frequently posted builds for Linux, Mac (Intel/PPC), or Windows compiled by builders and developers from all over the Blender universe. Welcome back Graphicall!
Yorik van Havre is a freelance architect from São Paulo, Brazil, who does more than 80% of his work with Blender. He uses it for both perspectives/presentations and for concepts and project design. Things seem to shaping up. Ton has posted an update on what is going on and when we can expect a release.
I'm sure many of you have seen the muscle simulation experiments by Toloban at Blenderartists. Toloban experiments with using IPO driven shape keys to create muscular simulations within his model. And he has been kind enough to create an overview on how he did this among other things.
