Blender Conference: Early Bird Registration Deadline
Until October 13th, an early bird discount applies for the Blender Conference registration. Registration fees until October 13, and paid in advance, are:
- 3-day pass: 60 EUR
- 1-day pass 30 EUR
- Saturday evening dinner & drinks: 25 EUR
Registration fees after October 13, or paid on-site, are 75 EUR for the 3-day pass and 37 EUR for a single day. For on-site payment you also have to subscribe via this e-shop system.
Blender Conference 2006: What to Tape ?
For those not coming to the Blender Conference 2006, the next best thing is to have it recorded. Even if you are coming, I’m sure that with so much things being presented at the same time you will miss something you would like to see.

The internet film festival Webcuts is back, showing the best internet films from around the world. This year, Webcuts.06 (sponsored by MentalImages no less) takes place on October 12th, 2006 in Berlin (Germany).

Video Tutorials: Blender Class in Tokyo, Japan
I was pleasantly surprised by an email that I received from Shigeto Maeda. Those of you who have been around for a few years will remember him; Shigeto created the most wonderful art of organic and technical objects. He also produced the book ‘Ka-ra: Shigeto Maeda’s Blender Art Works’ for Not a Number. He is now a teacher at Tokyo Kasei University and for this he has published a number of video tutorials.
