Sandra Gilbert Becomes a Mother
One of our prominent community members has some wonderful news to share. Sandra Gilbert, editor of BlenderArt Magazine, has given life to a daughter.
Jessica Lin Gilbert entered the world September 25, 2006 at 9:03 am She weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and was 21 inches long.
We came home from the hospital the very next day and have been doing a lot of sleeping and eating (baby and mommy :-P ). We are doing great.
Welcome to the world, little one – you’re in for quite a ride. And congratulations to your parents! These must be happy but tiring times for them..
I say: bring on the Blender baby cards! :)

Congratualtions Sandra. I can relate to the tiredness. My third son was born two days after your daughter, and it just gets harder being up at all hours as I get older.

And no, she isn’t my first, she is my 3rd. I also have a 17 year old son and a 14 year old daughter. Hubby also has a 14 year old son.
But since it has been so long, we actually feel like first time parents again. :P
It has been a week of fun, no sleep and lots of joy. :)
