If you have been considering learning Python and are confused about how and where to start, there are several good suggestions that have recently been posted over at BlenderArtists.org.
We were contacted by Sandra Gilbert, the editor of BlenderArt Magazine. She is looking for volunteers to help them in the translation process of the Magazine. If you’ve been meaning to help out in the Blender Open Source scene then this is a great way to do so!

We continue the journey through the Blender Summer of Documentation with the Introduction to Materials by material master Colin Litster.
Earlier this month, David Revoy (DeeVad) posted about his short animation “Little Fairy” that he made using Blender. It’s certainly nicely done, especially “with a knowledge of 3d coming only from internet tutorials and forums; all of this during the freetime out of my job…”
TomLog over at BlenderArtists recently posted a really good video tutorial on how to make a Spanish style roof tile and then repeat the shape across an entire roof quickly and easily.
