Yes the guy above has a point - although, I will take a position of patience because I appreciate greatly what the dedicated staff of the Blender/ Yafray, and Sunglow, etc community have been doing here.

Before I started using blender, I had been planning on spending some $800 on xsi for rendering and modeling etc. This was before tutorials which also cost money. Come to find out, that spending large sums of money on either was not neccessary especially for a beginner such as myself (and xsi didn't even have built in game engines!)

blender opens the pathway for young/poor people =o to play around in the 3d sandbox and to even render seriously in addition to learning as well - sunglow etc. are wonderful solutions for all people who have access to computers to use

because of these reasons I think that sunflow qualifies as Easy to Access imo.

though some day, I think I will want to celebrate its more perfect communion with blender

In my opinion ,some reasons to people changes their current options in 3D is giving them something like :

1)interesting
2)free to use
3)user friendly
4)good quality
5)easy to access

I think Sunflow offers the 4 first features mentioned above but to get the last one done,it needs to be integrated with the 3D application. In our case the "great" Blender 3D.

Give us the Sunflow inside Blender 3D and all the community will use it all days.

Sorry, but this is my opinion ...please do not let us wait a lot.This is the 4th time Blender Nation tells something related to this tool. I hope the next thread we will have good news.

@Crisses:
Not to go too far off-topic, but I'd recommend switching to NetNewsWire -- it runs its browser with javascript disabled and without flash, which significantly cuts down on unnecessary crap.

@konrad8ha:
It'd actually be nice to have a renderer API so that renderer plugins can be dropped into blender, recognized on startup, and so that their options would appear in the rendering tab like Yafray.

Thanks everyone -- it's Vienna, my rss newsreader that's to blame -- it apparently doesn't block popups (it has an embedded Safari browser) -- in Safari (with pop-up blocking), everything is fine. I'm pretty sure it's not spyware or viruses ;)

I just need to send a message to the maker of Vienna and suggest pop-up blocking, at least as an option.

Thanks again!

@Crisses
Also you may want to enable popup blocking and similar defenses in your browser settings. When I enabled popups for that site (I use the Firefox browser) I did get a popup but, no redirects.

@Crisses
I think I remember reading that you were having trouble with other links in other posts as well. You may want to do spyware, adware, and virus checks on your system. No problems connecting to links here.

Hope that helps.
