Yesterday we reported that three Blender projects were accepted for the Google Summer of Code. There is, however, a fourth Blender related project: Soya3D exporting/importing tools for Blender.

Google Summer of Code – Results Announced
The Google Summer of Code Blender project acceptance results are in, and like many of you, we are shocked that so few Blender projects were accepted this year (in 2005, ten projects were accepted). That being said, some amazing new features will come out of SoC this year, and we’re grateful to Google for their funding and support of these projects.
Collada 1.4 Import/Export Script Updates Released
Illusoft has released an update to their vital Collada 1.4 plugin for Blender (now version 0.2.22) with some major enhancements (do I hear materials?).

Robert Schober has directed/created a music video using Blender for all modeling and animation. The video, “Dear Valentine” is the first animated video for The Burning Tree Projekt for their debut on MTV CHI and Asia.
