ResPower Announces Split/Frame Rendering

“Until now, ResPower’s Blender 3D support has been geared towards accelerating animated renders only. Now, users can submit single frames and distribute them across up to 100 computers.” says Early Ehlinger, ResPower’s president. “With this new option, Blender users can render single images as frequently as they would like and see significant acceleration of those renders.”

In conjunction with this new support, ResPower is putting into public beta its automatic image reassembly support. Using the “Stitch” command from ResPower’s Job Status page, users can automatically reassemble their Split/Frame renders. “This part has really been the missing link in ResPower’s Split/Frame service in the past. Now that this feature is in Beta, Split/Frame rendering becomes that much more attractive, since you no longer have to put everything together in Photoshop.”

The article does not mention if the new features support Yafray as well. But with some luck, Early might be around to comment on that ;-)

Edit: Early has already posted a comment below; Yafray split frame rendering is supported as well. Cool.
