Tutorial: “Cage” Technique

cageThis tutorial covers an interesting approach to creating ‘cage’ like objects.

The described technique works by selecting and hiding faces in an object and then extruding. It doesn’t require any of the recently added features but just works with basic mesh modeling. The results are quite striking.
